simplyfadeaways asked: hi (: can you explain how to make something like this, please? whatkidrauhl.tumblr.com/post/17943262286
get your screencaps and your crop tool and inside the width box put 245 and in the height put 358. and do this like a regular gif, make frames from layers, add coloring, sharpen frames.
Get the Text tool and select the whole image, choose a cursive/script font and then write whatever you want (maybe the lyrics) then make a mask layer by selecting the text layer then clicking the button at the bottom of the layers palette that looks like a circle inside a square. then get the brush tool and the color black and go over the areas on the face with the brush then lower the opaciy of the text layer. then make another text layer and make it a brighter color and write more lyrics or something then rotate the layer to make it a little slanty.
that’s it! hope this helped.

Baisiclly the exact same as the last tutorial but not putting the gif into a shape but just changing their setting. but just incase you didn’t read the first part of the last tutorial here is what you need to do
first get your two different scene screencaps. BOTH sets of screencaps must be the same amount of layers/frames. first thing you’re gonna want to do is put them in folders.
so choose one of the screencap documents and click on the layer that is at the top of the layer palette then press the button at the bottom of the layer palette that looks like a folder. now select the first layer and hold down the Shift key and then select that last layer so all the layers are highlighted. now drag all of them inside the group folder, do this for both sets of screencaps. Now open up the animations window and on the right side of the animations window click on the button that looks like lines then click on Make frames from layers, do this for both sets. Now click on that button again but this time click on Select all frames now click that button once more and cilck on Copy frames. now go to the second document with the other set of screen caps and do the same thing but on the last step choose Paste frames instead of Copy frames. When the screen pops up make sure the settings say paste OVER selection.
Now go the document where both of your sets meet and you’ve pasted one over the other choose the top group/set of screencaps and change the setting to either Darken, Multiply, Lighten, Screen, Or soft light. it really depends on the color of your screencaps, for mine i set it on lighten. then after that you can lower the opacity on that group and even add a mask layer like i did to remove of of the scene that was getting in the way of the other set.
now just add color and text and you’re done!

Now take the top group and choose either the marquee tool, a lasso tool, or the shape tool. for this tutorial i used lasso and marquee. For the first shape i used the Polygonal lasso tool and while holding down shift (to keep a straight line) i made a slanted rectangular shape. then after i connected the lines of the lasso tool I clicked on the mask layer tool at the button of the layers palette. it’s the one that looks like a circle inside a rectangle.
Then I did a cirlce shape by using the eliptical marquee tool and I put the style on Fixed ratio and in the boxes i had both on 1. then i just selected the area in which i wanted to make circle then i clicked on the mask layer button again.
The next shape i did was vertical rectangular shape and i just used the polygonal lasso tool again and held down the shift key again and just went over the area in which i wanted the rectangle to be then i clicked on the mask layer button.
And that’s it! now that you know how to do that i suggest trying out different shapes then the one’s i showed you! use the polygonal rectangle tool and do stripes or something different! hope this helps!
TUTORIALS THAT YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT
Here are some tutorials that I’ve used in the past and think that you guys would benefit from taking a look at!

thank you very much! I don’t get simple appreciation like this anymore usually someone says something nice with a request at the end haha.
I have already answered this but i’ll answer it again.
All I did was chose three different fonts, used them all at once just on different words then i rotated all the fonts until every word had been every one of the fonts, so that would be three times i did it.
in case people are afraid of not comfortable asking things under their own username. or if you have any questions for me relating to the site of anything! use it wisely.

actually I believe that person just changed their URL to thelastsongs. but the only thing I could think of for the area not being bright enough would be if your eraser brush had a low opacity.
A different way you could do it is when you get the gradient map you get the brush tool and have the color black be the main color then go over the parts that you want in color.
hopefully this helps and if not please send in screencaps of the problem so i can actually see what’s going on.
